Welcome to Shakes & Ladders, a little local business in the heart of Cygnet bringing together good drinks, pre-loved fashion and a love of plants.

Whether you're popping in for a nutritional shake, trying one of our loaded iced teas, or looking for an affordable outfit or adding a new succulent or house plant to your collection, there's always something to discover.

We believe in making good things accessible, giving quality clothing another life and creating a welcoming space where people can stop, browse and connect.

Monday: (Open occasionally - no set hours) - Tuesday: 10am – 6pm - Wednesday: 10am – 3pm - Thursday: 10am – 4pm

Friday: 10am – 4pm

Saturday: 10am – 2pm - Sunday: 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, 10am – 2pm

We offer store credit for selected pre-loved clothing, giving your wardrobe a new purpose while helping you find something new-to-you in store.

Small business meet-ups: Our deck offers a relaxed space for small business owners to meet, connect, share ideas and build relationships. We believe in collaboration, not competition, and creating opportunities for local businesses to support one another.

School holiday programs: We host school holiday activities designed to inspire children through creativity, nature, connection and play. Our programs offer opportunities to explore, learn and have fun in a welcoming local environment.

Local Collaboration & Creative Services
Supporting local talent, one connection at a time. We’re a small space, but we believe in doing our bit to support local creatives, makers and small businesses. Shakes & Ladders is about more than what’s on our shelves, it’s also about creating opportunities for local people to share their skills and connect with the community.

Meet Sally Grace Designs. You’ll find a small selection of garments by Sally Grace Designs in store, but there’s more to Sally than her beautiful creations.

Sally also offers a mending, sewing and seamstress service, and is available to meet with you in person every Wednesday from 10:30am–12:30pm, on the Shakes & Ladders deck.

So, if your pants aren’t panting, your zips aren’t zipping, or you have a favourite band shirt you’d love added to a flannel or denim jacket, Sally can chat with you about your ideas and sewing needs.

Need a once-off set of scrubs or have something special in mind? Stop by and have a chat with Sally about what you’re looking for.

Whether it’s repairing a much-loved item, making a garment work better for you or bringing a creative idea to life, this is a chance to explore what’s possible while supporting a local creative.
